Overview

IAG’s indoor vertical farm in Bracknell, Berkshire is the largest in the UK. Occupying 10,000 square feet of growing space, it has the capacity to grow as much fresh produce as 40 acres of conventional farmland, making it around 175 times as productive as open field farming.

Our farm uses a fully controlled aeroponic growing system  with no dependence on either sunlight or soil. It requires 95% less water than traditional farming methods, and runs 365 days a year growing produce that is free from pesticides and packed with nutrition and flavour. Humidity, acidity and nutrient levels are all precisely monitored and controlled using the very latest technology and smart sensors, ensuring perfectly optimised growing conditions. IAG’s LED lighting system provides full-spectrum lighting whatever the weather outside, further supporting strong and healthy plant growth.

Our farm’s harvest cycles are around four times faster than conventional agricultural practices – for example, butter lettuce can be grown from seed to harvest in just three weeks, as opposed to 70-90 days.
