Our Story

Farming is an ancient activity; crops like wheat, peas and lentils were cultivated and domesticated around 12,000 years ago in the Levant. Since then, innovations like crop rotation, enclosure, the various mechanical inventions of the Industrial Revolution and the development of high-yielding crops and synthetic fertilisers during the Green Revolution have all helped increase productivity. However, until very recently, farming was still fundamentally dependent on uncontrollable and unpredictable natural phenomena: sunshine, rain, soil, pests.

The advent of indoor and vertical farming technology is now revolutionising the agricultural industry, giving growers unprecedented levels of precision and productivity. Indoor farms require neither sunlight nor soil, they produce healthier, stronger crops 365 days of the year, and they use up to 95% less water than conventional farming methods.

IAG was born out of a desire to harness the incredible power of new technologies and apply them to the age-old practice of farming. We believe that the next revolution in agriculture will happen indoors – and we want to lead it. The IAG management team comprises experts in aeroponics, microbiology, nutrition, the fresh produce market, agri-tech, engineering and manufacturing – each of whom brings formidable knowledge and experience of their fields.

IAG researches and develops farming technologies in house. Our world-class patented vertical aeroponics technology , which includes cultivation systems and growing enclosures, is taking vertical farming to the next level. It enables the impeccable growth of crops with zero pesticides and minimal environmental impact. We also manufacture and sell our farming systems  across the world, unlocking a brighter future for farmers and encouraging new entrants to this crucial industry.

In 2019, IAG successfully completed phase 1 of its indoor vertical farm  in Berkshire. Across 10,000 square feet of land, we deploy our own technologies to grow exceptional produce for major retailers nationwide and for the local communities. Our farm runs 365 days a year growing fruit, vegetables, herbs and salads that are free from pesticides and packed full of nutrition and flavour. We have now embarked on phase 2 of our development and expansion, and we are offering the opportunity to get involved – find out how

Progressive

IAG’s technologies are state-of-the-art, and we are constantly researching ways to improve upon them. Farming is an industry that desperately needs disruption, and we work hard to stay ahead of the curve – investing in innovative alternatives to existing practices, and helping our clients react swiftly and effectively to changing consumer demand.

Global

We are proud to be a British company and we want to help the UK establish itself as an international hub for precision agricultural technologies. At the same time, we know that the technologies we develop and supply are of truly global application, and will be of huge social and economic use in disadvantaged countries that lack arable land or are prone to drought. We want to roll out our systems worldwide, implementing our innovative agricultural solutions wherever they are needed.

Collaborative

Knowledge is more powerful when it’s shared. We offer our expertise and insight in order to advance the agri-tech industry as a whole, and we listen to retailers and consumers to allow us to identify developing trends in behaviour. By exchanging data and technical knowledge with our partners, we can all make better business decisions, ensure a cohesive, forward-thinking industry presence, and help raise public awareness of indoor farming technologies.

Sustainable

We believe it is possible to produce enough food for everyone while protecting, rather than pillaging, the earth’s natural resources. From drastically reducing water usage with our aeroponic growing systems, to cutting out food miles by enabling farming in the middle of urban landscapes, we are working towards an agricultural industry that is genuinely and wholeheartedly sustainable.
